Fallen by Lauren Kate

Fallen by Lauren Kate
Rating 4.5/5
Description:
Some Angels are Destined to Fall
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . .
even if it kills her!
My Review: This book has a mysterious tone to it throughout and Luce is just as clueless as we are. She has been sent to reform school by court order and this place is not the boarding school atmosphere she is used to.Upon arrival she meets some very interesting people including Daniel who is making it  clear that he wants nothing to do with her. As soon as she gets there she has the attention of  a guy named Cam and even though he is charming and very interested she still can't get Daniel out of her head. She feels like she has met him before. He continues to send her mixed signals and to try to push her away until one day when all hell breaks loose and you find out what is really going on at this school and who is in on it as well as what sides they are taking. This is a really great story and I recommend it to all my fantasy/paranormal readers. You will enjoy the suspense and the characters are not flat and uninteresting either.
I listened to this in audio-book format and it had a good narrator and kept it interesting so if you are looking for something to sink your ears into while you hit the gym or clean house it is worth the format change.
